Vertical Health Services
The Problem
When the time comes to choose a nursing home, the elderly deserve the highest quality of care. Our goal is to expose the worst nursing homes in the country, empowering families to make informed decisions
Vertical Health Services (VHS) looms as a private equity-backed nursing home operator. VHS as a company, has turned nursing homes into houses of horror. VHS operates nursing homes that are responsible to provide care for the most vulnerable among us—our elderly loved ones—unfortunately, these sick, elderly residents are stuck in VHS operated nursing homes, where abuse and neglect are not just incidents, but a chilling norm. VHS has become synonymous with Skyline, as countless stories of suffering and heartbreak emerge from the walls of their cold, uncaring institutions.
The numbers paint a terrifying picture: over $3,000,000 in fines levied against VHS facilities. A staggering 20% of their facilities have been cited for abuse by CMS, and a shameful record of over 500 citations—2.5 times the rate of hard citations compared to the average U.S. nursing home. Wrongful death lawsuits pile up like tombstones, each one a grim testament to the lives destroyed under their watch. Yet, in the face of such damning evidence, VHS shows no remorse, no intention of reform; they march onward, an unyielding force of cruelty, perpetuating their reign of terror with no end in sight.
Furthermore, VHS is notorious for not paying their bills. Evidence clearly shows a pattern of Vertical Health Services siphoning money from their facilities by avoiding rent payments, paying staff, and purchasing necessary supplies for their residents.
The human cost? Dozens of reported wrongful deaths and countless reports of pain, anguish and torment of their vulnerable elderly residents and families.
They must be stopped. They must be exposed.
